Event Details Maryland Half Marathon & 5K

Description: The Maryland Half Marathon & 5K returns to Maple Lawn this year with 100 percent of the net proceeds benefiting the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center. This race, which will be held for the tenth year in a row, has raised more than $3 million for cancer research. Ten years and 130,000 miles have helped to make significant strides in the fight against cancer by supporting research that has benefited countless patients and their families. All Half Marathon & 5K participants will receive a customizable fundraising page and are eligible for race premiums. This year’s Maryland Half Marathon & 5K will also feature a Kids Fun Run, Kids Zone for families with children and a post-race festival.

Barnstormers Tour

Description: Ten barns in and around the scenic Wolfsville region will be featured during the 12th Annual Barnstormers Tour. This popular self-guided tour calls attention to these beautiful old structures and their importance to our agricultural heritage. The tour provides a rare opportunity to gain access to some of our most scenic private farm properties. The farms are only open to visitors on the day of the tour. Trained docents will greet visitors at each barn and some of the barns will also feature educational displays and demonstrations. During the tour visitors may observe artists painting at the barns. After the tour an art exhibit will feature the beautiful new plein air paintings for sale.

Twilight on the Terrace

Father's Day At The Farm

Free Summer Concert

Description: Father/son duo Ken and Brad Kolodner will perform old-time folk music with Rachel Eddy at this free concert. Ken Kolodner is a world-renowned hammered dulcimer player and old-time fiddler. His son Brad is a singer and rising star among clawhammer banjo players. The Kolodners are well regarded for their innovative and unique interpretations of traditional and original fiddle tunes. Rachel Eddy, who sings and plays the fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin and bass, will add her talent to this foot-stomping event. Refreshments will be served and child care for preschool-age children and younger will be provided.
